Native American Spirit

The American Indians are a people steeped in the knowledge of Sacred Geometry as it relates to the natural world. They maintained a harmonious relationship with the animals, all things in nature, and had an understanding of the heavens. They believed that animals and birds acted as "spirit guides" and could be communicated with and understood. As a way of honoring the Native American Tribes, I have used the dream catcher as the focus of this image. A dream catcher is imbued with many meanings, but on the surface, its web catches the dreams and visions of the user. Bad dreams are caught in the web, but the good ones are allowed to slip through the web through the hole in the center into the mind of the user. As the web, I have chosen the Flower Of Life Symbol. Since the early Indians used pictograph symbols to communicate with each other, I have used basic pictographs of animal and bird life within the two fractal trees. By observing the ancient wisdom of Native Americans, we too could feel reconnected to the natural world which could awaken us to all possibilities.
